Chey Rose is a Nashville based artist/writer who has found her niche in creating “chill pop” songs that capture the essence of young love, heartbreak, nostalgia and the journey of growing up. Her first single, V.C.R., racked up over 1.2 million streams in its first year. She has continued to build steady momentum while remaining independent through her latest releases including Seventeen, Priority, and For a Friend.
Chey’s warm tone & buttery smooth vocals have garnered praise from publications such as Music City Music Magazine, Young Music City, Hype Magazine, YEP (Young Entertainment Professionals) and more. Her chill pop sound is described by The Belmont Mixtape as “a Kehlani-meets-Lauv blend, with a sprinkling of Troye Sivan lyric-magic & a hint of LANY alt- pop influence.” Her musical influences also include artists Olivia O’Brien, Sasha Sloan and Nina Nesbitt. Aside from her solo artist career, Chey is an avid songwriter and is frequently cowriting with other musicians and NSAI members. She has had cuts by artists in both the country pop and pop/r&b scenes.
Originally hailing from Columbus, OH, Chey currently attends Belmont University for songwriting and music business and is set to graduate May 2021. Her debut EP, Even the Moon Goes Thru Phases, is set for release Fall 2020. When asked to sum herself up in one sentence, her favorite response is that she is a “lover of good lyrics, handwritten letters, travel adventures & anything cat related.” To keep up with Chey's show schedule and latest news, follow her @CheyRoseTunes.
